Steamer Point

Ashstone MEP were appointed to deliver MEP services and energy design for Steamer Point, Christchurch, Dorset, a private residential development of 10 high-end detached houses for Pennyfarthing Homes, accessed via a gated entrance.

The scope of services included the coordinated design of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, incorporating air source heat pump (ASHP) solutions, underfloor heating throughout, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR), and comfort cooling, alongside SAP calculations to demonstrate compliance with Part L and overheating analysis in accordance with Part O of the Building Regulations. Ashstone MEP also designed combined site-wide buried services infrastructure and external lighting to support the private development.

Designs were developed to support high standards of energy performance, occupant comfort, and buildability, with close coordination across the wider design team.
