Herne Bay Golf Club

Ashstone MEP were appointed to deliver MEP services design for Herne Bay H21 at Eddington Park, a specialist retirement living development delivered by Quinn Estates in partnership with Housing 21.

The scope of services included the coordinated design of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, developed within a fully coordinated 3D Revit model. The building is constructed using a reinforced concrete (RC) frame, requiring close integration of MEP services within the structural design. The scheme incorporates Joule exhaust air heat pump systems to each dwelling, providing space heating and hot water via underfloor heating throughout.

The project required high levels of coordination between MEP, structural engineering, and architectural disciplines, with particular emphasis on the precise setting out of services within the RC structure to support buildability and efficient installation.

Designs were progressed in close collaboration with the wider design team to ensure regulatory compliance, efficient delivery, and alignment with the specialist requirements of a retirement living environment within the wider Eddington Park regeneration scheme.
